The Chesterfield Arms Triumphs in 2010

Despite the weather taking a sudden turn for the worse, a dedicated bunch of Chesterfield

CAMRA members, along with lots of friends and regulars, happily turned out to say a big

well done to the folks down at the Chesterfield Arms.

Following a vote by CAMRA members, which saw a record number of people visiting the five

candidates and putting their X in the boxes, the Arms was crowned the outright winner of this

year’s Pub of the Year Award.

The Arms is located on the corner of Newbold Road and Queen Street, not far from the centre

of Chesterfield. This is an ideal location, making the pub easily accessible by bus and train.

They open from 12noon until 11pm everyday and offer regular quiz nights, live music, bar snacks

(try the pork pies) and steak and curry nights.

The Chesterfield Arms now goes on to the next round of the competition and will be in the

running for Derbyshire Pub of the Year 2010. We wish them good luck and know that they

will do our area proud!
